Learn with us and you get free theory tuition. Your theory test has two parts — 50 multiple-choice questions and a hazard perception test.

Your theory test has two parts: 50 multiple-choice questions and a hazard perception test. The pass mark is 43/50 for the multiple choice and 44/75 for hazard perception. Both parts are taken on a computer, and you must pass both before you can book your practical test.
Before the test begins you get on-screen instructions and an optional practice session. Each question has several answer options, and some need more than one answer. If you are unsure you can “flag” a question and return to it later. You have up to 57 minutes, and the pass mark is 43 out of 50.
You will watch 14 short clips of everyday road scenes, each with at least one developing hazard (one clip has two). Click as soon as a hazard starts developing — the earlier you spot it, the higher your score, up to five per clip. The pass mark is 44 out of 75. The two-part theory test costs £23 and can be taken at Castle Circus House in Torquay.
We want you as relaxed and prepared as possible, so learners with us get free online theory tuition through Theory Test Pro. It is user-friendly, keeps you fully up to date, and tracks your progress with easy-to-read graphs.
Once you are consistently passing your practice tests, book your official theory test. Learners across Paignton, Newton Abbot and the wider bay come to us for friendly, structured support from theory right through to test day.
