Automatic is a great choice if you feel nervous about gears, want to learn faster, or drive an automatic at home. It is popular with nervous learners and returning drivers.
Whatever brought you here, our instructors adapt each lesson to you rather than working through a rigid script. We go at your pace, build on what you can already do, and make sure every session moves you a clear step closer to test day.
Not sure which transmission is right for you? Compare manual driving lessons with automatic lessons, or read our manual vs automatic driving lessons guide before deciding.
You will focus on steering, road position, observation, junctions and manoeuvres without the clutch to think about — which many learners find calmer and quicker to pick up.
Everything follows the official DVSA syllabus, so there are no gaps and nothing left to chance. As you progress we introduce busier roads, trickier junctions and the manoeuvres you’ll be tested on, then confirm you’re ready with mock tests before you book.
New to learning? Your theory test runs alongside your practical lessons — you’ll need to pass it before booking your test, and learners with us get free online theory tuition. If you’ve not sat behind the wheel yet, our guide to your first driving lesson explains exactly what to expect, and the Learning Hub answers the rest.
