Who refresher lessons are for

Already passed but out of practice? Refresher lessons rebuild your confidence for motorways, parking, or simply getting back behind the wheel.

Refresher driving lessons are for full licence holders who want some extra time behind the wheel with an instructor. You might be returning to driving after a long break, feeling less confident than you used to, or simply want help with a particular type of driving.

There’s no test to work towards and no fixed programme to complete. Tell us what you want to feel more comfortable with and we’ll shape your lessons around that.

How refresher driving lessons work

We start with what you want to improve and build the session around you. That could mean getting comfortable in traffic again, practising parking and manoeuvres, tackling unfamiliar junctions and roundabouts, or building confidence on faster roads.

Because you’ve already passed your test, there’s no fixed syllabus and no pressure to cover skills you’re already comfortable with. Your instructor can focus the lesson on the situations you find difficult and give you practical feedback as you drive.

You can book a refresher after a short break from driving or after many years away — we’ll simply start from where you are now.

Getting back behind the wheel

You don’t need to prepare for a refresher lesson or commit to a set number of sessions. Just tell us how long you’ve been away from driving, what you’d like help with and anything you’re particularly concerned about.

Your instructor can then plan the session around the skills and situations that matter to you, whether you want one confidence-building lesson or some additional practice over several sessions.

Do I need to take another driving test after refresher lessons?

No. Refresher lessons are additional tuition for people who already hold a full driving licence. There’s no test at the end — the aim is simply to help you feel safer, more comfortable and more confident behind the wheel.
