1. Booking and payment
These terms apply to all driving lessons, courses, gift vouchers and services booked with The Driving School South West (TDSSW LTD). They are provided here as a working template and should be reviewed and approved by the business before going live.
Lessons can be booked by phone, WhatsApp, email or the enquiry form. Payment terms (for single lessons, blocks and intensive courses) will be confirmed when you book. Block bookings and courses are typically paid in advance, and prices are as shown on our prices page at the time of booking.
2. Cancellations and rescheduling
If you need to cancel or move a lesson, please give us as much notice as possible — at least 48 hours where you can. Lessons cancelled with less than the agreed notice, or missed without notice, may be charged in full. We will always give you the same courtesy and notice in return wherever possible.
3. Lessons and conduct
Lessons run for the booked duration, including any agreed pickup and drop-off. Learners must be fit to drive — not under the influence of alcohol, drugs or any medication that affects driving — and must follow the instructor’s reasonable directions at all times. We reserve the right to end a lesson where safety is at risk.
4. Provisional licence and eyesight
You must hold a valid UK provisional (or full) driving licence and meet the legal eyesight standard before driving. Please bring your licence to your first lesson and to your test.
5. Gift vouchers
Gift vouchers are valid for the period stated on the voucher, are non-refundable and non-transferable for cash, and can be redeemed towards lessons or a block booking subject to instructor availability.
6. Liability
Our tuition vehicles are fully insured for driving lessons and tests. Nothing in these terms limits our liability where it would be unlawful to do so. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss.
7. Complaints
We want you to be happy with your lessons. If something isn’t right, please tell us as soon as you can and we’ll do our best to put it right. Contact us via the contact page.
